Harry Potter Comes to "The End!"

The last book in J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series was a fast paced riveting ride to the end that was in true Rowling fashion. Every chapter laid the foundation to resolve or answer questions leading back to the first book. Harry, Hermione and Ron set out on a quest to find the last remaining horuxes. The story provides a glimpse into the life of Harry's family and Dumbledore's as well. Many questions about Petunia, Lily and Snape are given in great detail. As in all the books Rowling uses her triad of characters to drive the story ever closer to its finish, going back to the creation of the invisibility cloak and the Potters genealogy. Rowling is a master in her use of names and devices that are brilliantly created from her own imagination. This is by far the best in the series. While closing all the lose ends she is still able to leave questions for a new generation of readers. Clearly a must read!

Dumbledore is a major focus in the seventh installment. It explore his life and puts a human face on one of mine favorite characters. Dumbledore's presense is more than a ghostly overshadowing it moves the story and completes the tale. His story connects Harry, Voldemort and himself in a way that was not expected. His gifts to each Hermione, Ron and Harry sends the youths off on their quest of the horcruxes and ultimately leads to the end and the prophecy. Dumbledore is still the genius of Hogwarts.

I was amased at how well everything came together at the end. No characters were forgotten or left out. Rowling manages to make it all seem so easy! Hope she does another series of some sort.
