Committe met pursuant to a call of the chairman; majority of committee present.

On motion of B.F. Gregory, Joseph S. Anderson was chairman and William Moffitt secretary of the meeting.

On motion, the committeemen of the several townships were instructed to receive the votes of all persons "known to be sound Republicans," and who will be legal voters at the October election 1870, and none others, at the primary election to be held Aprili 2, 1870; and that a copy of the Poll Books and Tally Papers be returned to the central committee, at Williamsport, on the Tuesday next succeeding the conventino.

On motion of Alvin High, Benjamin F. Gregory was selected as permanent chairman and William Moffitt as secretary.

On motion, Alvin High was designated as the Congressional and Judicial Committeeman for this county, to act as such until his successor, is chosen by the people.

On motion, the committee adjourned to meet at Williamsport, on the 1st Tuesday in April.
