Title: Secret Societies
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Warren county has had its full share of secret organizations and despite the early day opinion held by a large majority of the early settlers concerning such fraternities, as Masons, Odd Fellows, etc., they flourished per force of their virtues and noble qualities. Today there are lodges in a flourishing condition all over the county, embracing within their membership many of the best citizens of the county. While there are many modern fraternal organizations, formed largely for life insurance purposes, such as Workmen, Woodmen, Ben-Hur, Knights of Columbus, and a score more, it will not be the province of this article to mention these, but simply refer to the three great orders, Masons, Odd Fellows and Kinghts of Pythias fraternities.
