Title: Steamboat
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Last Saturday, at about noon the whistle of the large and commodious steamboat, the Eau Claire, was heard, which sent strange echoes skedaddling into the neighboring hollows. The boys big and little, not having seen so great a sight on the placid waters of the Wabash for sometime, hastone to the river bank to see a live steamboat. The decks, although not crowded with passengers had the appearance of business, and being in a hurry to connect with the steamers on the raging canal the boat passed us and sailed on for the city beyond, where no doubt she was received with a still more enthusiastic crowd.
