Text:

The schools which opened in this place last September, closed last Friday, after a term of nearly five months. In this instance Williamsport has been fortunate. The money which has accumulated for school purposes having been put intot good hands, has been the means of affording the children good teachers and good schools. Commendation is justly due Messrs. E.A. Boardman and W.P.R. Moore, for their labor bestowed in this matter, to make the schools of Williamsport a success.
