Title: Representative for Warren
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Just before we went to press last week we were handed the name of our fellow-townsman, Samuel F. Messner, for announcement as a candidate for Representative for Warren County. At that date moment we had not ime to make further notice of the fact, but take the liberty to do so in this issue. It is not our province to make any public discrimination between candidates, or to advocate the claims of any one more than another. We may say, however, in justice to Dr. Messner, that he is a man every way suitable for the office of Representative, and if elected, would always be found "right side up with care." He is an old citizen of the county, and well know, and we doubt not, has many warm friends. But as managers of a county paper, we venture not to show any partiality for, or leaning to, any one candidate, further than courtesy and gentility to our neighbors- and this is due to all.
