Title: Religious Revivals
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

As is usually the ease, here are in very many parts of the county, what are termed "great religious revivals." Persons are joining the church by the score, and great interest in manifested upon the part of the people. This is all right and highly commendable; but the query has often been presented to our mind- why are there never revivals of religion in the spring, summer, or autumn? Why always in the winter? Surely the most fitting time in the world for a revival is in the spring when all nature is bursting into newness oflife, and not in the winter when all is apathy, coldness, and gloom. Will some of our modern revivalists tell us why such glorious manifestations of the Lord are poured out in the winter and not in the summer?
