File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Nex week we will publish a short Temperance Sermon, delivered before the Champaign Temperance Society (Ills,) by Rev. D.Merrill, from the following text: Exodus xxi 23-29.- If an ox shall be stoned- but the owner shall be quit. But if the ox were wont to push with his horn in time past, and it hath been testified to his owner, and he hath not kept kept him in: but htat he hath killed a man or woman, the ox shall be stoned; and his owner also shall be put to death."

The text is an appropriate one, and the sermon is a gen, and an honor to the author.- We hope it will be attentively read by all classes of persons.
