Title: Post Office Department
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

The Post Office Department is sending circulars to all the postmasters in the United States, ordering them to make an accurate monthly report of all frank or free matter deposited at their office for mailing for the period of six months, commencing on January 1.

The Post Master General has also sent to the P.M., at this place, a form of petition to Congress, to repeal the law. We trust everybody will call and sign the petition and when public sentment is thus brought to bear on Congress, it will be so overwhelming that it will be obeyed.
