Otis VanTress who has been one of the mail carriers of this city for nine years has been asked for a leave of absense and is packing his house hold goods preparatory to moving to Mt. Victory, Ohio, where he expects to enter into the real estate and insurance business. Mr. VanTress returned Friday from Mt. Victory where he had spent several days looking over the ground carefully before deciding to make the change. It was through A.P. Nave who a few months ago purchased a large farm near Mt. Victory that Mr. VanTress was induced to go to that place to look around.

Clark Oakley has been made emergency substitute carrier pending the holding of an examination on Saturday, Nov. 26, when it is expected that some one will quailfy in the regular way for appointment.
