Title: That was right

Text:

The stranger who visited our town and preached in the court house, on last Monday night had a very good audience. For the very short notice the people had, they turned out in considerable numbers, and the house was comfortably filled. We didn't have an opportunity to hear the Rev. Gentleman, but we admire the good judgement of his auditors who seem disposed to "prove all things and hold fast that which is good." Verily the rotten foundation of old creeds and doctrines are fast giving way, whilst progress and improvement mark the onward march of theology as well as well as the sciences and arts. The world is getting better, and in fifty years from now the doctrine of endless suffering will be dead and burried, and annihilation will soon follow its predecessor.
