Title: Woman's Rights Convention
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:
Text:

Among the morbid of the day may be classed that upon "Women's Rights." In many of our cities and larger towns, conventions have held by women who have been so far forgotten the sphere assigned to them by their Creator, as to unsex themselves and go into the wildest enthusiasm undo this ridiculous subject.- Whilst we willingly accord to woman all the privelages and rights she can possibly enjoy, we would not have her become a turbulent virage and lay aside the crowning excellence of her sex. But this unhealthy excitement about woman's rights, will soon pass away and be forgotten. The cause is materially weakened by every convention gotten up for the purpose of giving popularity to the movement; and we have only to let it alone and it will perish from the earth in a few years.
