Title: Change in Fashion
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:
Text:

For full fifteen years hoop skirts have been in fashion, and the lady who did not wear them was hooted at as an old fogy, and pronounced "ridiculous' But lo and behold, the spell is broken, and that which for the past fifteen years has been regarded by the female sex, as one of the indispensibles of life; is thrown aside as a worthless and ugly thing, and are women are now promenading the streets looking much like walking bean-poles clad in bed ticks. But we are not objecting to this change in fashion-we are a woman's rights man, and are perfectly willing the opposite sex shall adopt any or all of the thousand and one tomfooleries incident to fashionable life. We are even willing that the size of ladies bonnets be reduced to one third of their present size. What's the use in women's wearing umbrellas for bonnets?
