At a meeting of Warren Lodge, No. 57, of the Independant Order of Odd-Fellows, held at their Hall, Monday evening, March 1st, 1869, the following preamble and resolutions were unanimously adopted:

WHEREAS, An All wise Providence has removed from our midst, and from the society of his friends and neighbors, our beloved Brother, MARTIN V. R. McALLISTER, therefore be it

Resolved, That in the death of our friend and Brother McALLISTER, and his consequent removal from the sphere of his usefulness as a member of our Lodge, and as a neighbor and citizen, we experience the deepest loss and affliction, which can befall us as fellows and brothers of a Lodge of Odd-Fellows.

Resolved, That the sympathies of this Lodge be, and the same are hereby tendered to the bereaved friends and acquaintances of the deceased, and to all with whom he was associated in life.

Resolved, That, as Odd-Fellows, and friends and brothers of the deceased, we will strive to emulate all that was good and noble in him, whilst his faults, if he had any, we will write in the sand.

Resolved, That Brothers GEO. T. RICHARDSON, WM. P. RHODES, and WM. MOFFITT be, and are hereby appointed as a committee to prepare these resolutions for the press, and request the Proprietors of the WARREN REPUBLICAN to publish the same.
