Title: Mrs. Clem
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

It may not be uniteresting to our readers to learn that the trial of Mrs. Clem will commence at Indianapolis on next Friday. It will be remembered that in her former trial, the jury failed to return a verdict, and the case was continued for trial at the February term of the Criminal Court. Her alledged accomplices, ABRAMS and HARTMAN will also be tried during the term. It is said that Mrs. CLEM is a lady of considerable wealth, and moved in the aristocratic circles of city society. As to her guilt, in the murder of Mr. YOUNG and wife, there is no doubt, but her wealth and influence may a second time thwart the ends of justice. At any rate, the trials of these accused will perhaps be the most interesting and exciting which have ever taken place in Indiana. The counsel for the prosecution are making every preparation for the trial, having subpenaed one hundred and ten witnesses for the State.
