Title: Marble slab to be placed at the head of each Union soldier
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:
Text:

It is not generally known that Warren County has ordered a neat slab to be place at the head of each Union soldier who sleeps his last sleep in that patriotic county. The rich and the poor are to be treated alike---those who went out to the terrible conflict followed by the blessings of their loved ones. The act is a lasting honor to that grand old liberty loving county, adding another bright gem to the bright crown it so rightly wears. Messrs. J. C. and Thomas P. Campbell of this place have the contract to prepare these marble slabs at the price of $18 each.
