Rev. J.S. Cooper, a well known U.B. minister, died at his home in Green Hll Saturday, aged 73. He was born in Yountsville, Ind., May 28, 1835, and was married to Ellen Michaels, Sept. 7, 1854. To this union nine children were born six of whom survive, with the widow. Rev. Cooper had been in feeble health and his death was not unexpected. He was actively engaged in the ministry for forty-three years, and had served as presiding elder for sixteen years. He was a man of high character and earnest purpose, and his influence for good was widely felt.

The funeral was conducted at Green Hill Tuesday at ten o'clock, Rev. A.M. Snydor officiating. Interment was made in Pond Grove cemetary.
