Title: Officers Elect for 1877
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

At the late election of officers held by the stockholders of Warren County Agricultural Joint Stock Society the following officers were elected for the ensuing year:

James Goodwine, President
William Crow, Vice-President
George T. Bell, Vice President
James C. Miller, Secretary
John C. Lincoln, Treasurer

Jamies Goodwine, George T. Bell, William Crow, Ellas Schlosser, Benjamin Judy, E.D. Thomas, sr., H.B. Flesher, F.P. Longley, S.C. French, H.C. Swisher, E.H. Wood, James C. Miller

By a vote of the stockholders the number of directors is reduced to twelve.

If the character of the men who are selected as officers of the society indicates anything, we predict great success for the Society during 1877. The men chosen are from the ranks of our best and most influential citizens and when that class of men is selected to fill responsible positions in any enterprise is bound to follow.

Mr. Bell, the retiring Secretary, has been promoted upon his merits and placed next to the head. Mr. B. deserves it, for he has proven himself worthy and efficient. The gentleman who succeeds him, Mr. Miller, is a good business man, quick, energetic and accurate, and though it will be difficult to follow the old Secretary, the new Secretary will fully meet all the requirements of his office.
