Title: Kern Packing House at LaFayette Burned Sunday Morning
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

On Sunday morning about the same time the Court-house fire started in this place, the Kern Packing House at LaFayette caught fire, but was not totally consumed. The fire started in the southeast corner of the main building and as a strong wind was blowing from the south the flames were blown through the building making it very difficult to prevent it from spreading. By prompt action the fire company kept the fire confined to the second story. At 3:30 p.m. the flames were entirely subdued. Damage not definitely known.
