Title: A Great Wind Storm
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

The high wind that prevalled last Saturday night and Sunday was something new and unexpected. Pedestrians on the street were nearly carried off their feet by the gale. During this high wind which came from the northwest the fire in the court-house rapidly advanced. It was a battle between two great elements-wind and fire.

Recorder Wilson desires all those who have deeds, mortgages and instruments of all kinds to call and get them. He has no fire proof safe to keep them in and in case of another fire, it would be necessary to go to court to settle it.
