Title: Miss Lottie Hanks
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Miss Lottie Hanks, formerly chief operator of the Danville, Ills., telephone exchange, but for the past year an invalid from consumption, died Wednesday. Funeral services were held Friday and Mrs. Henry Collins and Miss Ada Rund of this place attended. In honor of the departed one notice was given the public to use the phone service as little as possible during the services to all the operators to attend, for a short time business was practically suspended on the entire system. A huge floral pillow of roses, with a flower telephone in the center and the words "Answered the Last Call," was a pathetic remembrance from a lady's operator friends.
