Last Thusday afternoon the Warren County Commissioners let the contract for the building of the court house at Williamsport, destroyed by fire last January. Frank Jahn of Champaign, Ills., and L. N. Cope, of Decatur, Ills., were the successful bidders and secured the contract for $68,050.

What remains of the old building will be used as far as possible and the new part of the building will be constructed of vitrified pressed brick and Bedford stone trimmings. The contract calls for the building to be completed by Aug. 1st 1908, but the contractors hope to turn the building over to the county by June 1st.

The contract for the jailors residence and jail was not let at this meeting but will be let at a meeting to be held August 31st.
