Mrs. Harold Turnpaugh was honored with a miscellaneous shower by her sisters-in-law, Mrs. Oral Hines, Mrs. Ned Hines and Miss Elizabeth Turnpaugh, at the home of the former 2 miles east of Pence on Tuesday afternoon, Jan. 4. Prize winners in contests were Mrs. Coral Odle, Mrs. Lorena Hartz, Mrs. Ollie Roberts and Mrs. Frances Lohmeyer, who presented their prizes to the honored guest. The bride unwrapped the lovely gifts, and thanked all for their kindness in a very gracious manner. Refreshments were served to about 30 guests. Before her marriage on Thanksgiving Day the bride was Miss Mary Hines of Judyville. The young couple went to housekeeping on Christmas Day in the Calmer Reeder tenant house. The groom is associated with his father in farming.
