Text:

Virgil Ward--March 3, 1891 A minister's son is the subject of this disertation. He was born in Fayette county, West Virginia, but came to Pine Village from Delaware, Ohio. He has only spent one year with us, and we are not only glad of a new addition to the class, but he has been a diligent student and a prominent athlete. He is assistant athletic editor. He is very quiet, and unlike most preachers' sons, has not held up the mischievous part of the class. "A Christian is the highest type of man." Celia M. Short--April 24, 1892 Celia, the mite of the class, has been with us since we were Freshmen. She was born and has lived all her life near Pine Village. Ever since she entered High School she has been quiet and peaceable in attitude and faithful in her school work. She has also proven herself a splendid hostess to her class on several occasions. "Most gentle is she *** She has in her heart Wide charity for all that be."
