Title: Political Harmony
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

Now that the nominations are made for the Republican County Ticket, it is proper that we turn our attention to matters of importance yet unfinished. The thing next in order, and which should claim our attention, is the Congressional and Judicial matter. It is highly essential to the interests of Warren county, that she be united in effort, firm in principal, and harmonious in action. A division in sentiment upon this issue can effect the entire interest of the county, and it is for the interest loving citizen to decide for himself the course of action and how he will be influenced at the coming convention. If he has county pride and a desire to place his county along side of those larger counties in the district, then he will stand by the interests of Warren in the upcoming convention. What are local interests in this matter? Nothing. What are individual differences at this time, when the whole county is to be affected by the manner in which her citizens harmonize and act on this question? This question is not a matter of settlement between local candidates, it is the county of Warren who presents her claims to the voters of the District and says, "grant us this our request once in a lifetime of co-operation and labor." Will the loyal people of Warren go back on her own dignity? Will they prefer to take a back-seat to going forward in the convention and demanding, in the name of right that she be allowed her humble claims?
