THIS STOCK OF DRY GOODS and other merchandise, will be the most extensive, and comprise the most complete assortment in the country.---GONE MARRIED.-Mr. Albert Bowman last Monday, becoming dissatisfied with single life, at, on, or about the forenoon of that day doubled himself, and now he doubtless finds himself an exceedingly happy man. The lady participating in his happiness is, or was, Miss Mary Dalgrish.---STONE.-Mr. Jacob Holtz is now getting out and shipping from his stone quarry at this place, a fine lot of sandstone, to be used in a foundation to the new mill at State Line City. State Line is bound to have a mill let it cost what may. Go ahead gentlemen and may you thrive.---FAINTED.-During the Spring weather of last week the weather fainted, and in order to restore it, it was necessary on last Friday night to administer some snow. It is better now and hopes are entertained of its recovery.---WASHINGTON.- Our old friend "Jimmy" Oxer, who lives in expectation of a handsome fortune in "old Virginny," took the morning train for Washington last Thursday morning to see about the pension he claims a title to, which was due his father in his lifetime.---ENTERTAINMENT.- On Friday evening, April 29th, the friends of the M.E. Sabbath School in this place, give an entertainment for the purpose of raising funds for the purchase of Sunday School requisites for the school. The entertainment to be held at the M.E. Church in this place. Come all.---ON THE REPAIR.-"Jack," the Jailer, the past few days has been busy stopping the gaps in the Public Square fence, and straightening the crooked places. He is determined to keep out the "big pigs and little hogs." This is all right; let the grass grow.
