Advertisers will please hand in their favors as early as Wednesday at 10 o'clock A.M., if they wish them inserted that week.----Beaver is back.---Farmers are plowing for corn.---HIC-John Jones was in town Monday.---It hasn't snowed yet this week.-Wonder why!---Mart at the R.R. sells the cheapest.---Patronize home institutions and go to the entertainment to-morrow night.---"Money makes the mare go;" yes, and pays for a fellow's taxes, too.---Lightning rods have come to town. A good thing in their way.---Court commenced last Monday. Arn't the lawyers glad!---See in this week's paper the new advertisement of L.B. Lindsly.---L.B. Lindsley, the Hat and Cap man of Attica, has a new 'ad' this week-find it in another column.---FOR SALE.-We have a nice farm this week advertised for sale. You that want a good farm now, on easy and reasonable terms, call on us.---LOOK OUT.-Don't let a rare chance slip Mr. farmer of buying you a farm of eighty acres in Warren county. For price and terms, call on us.---A CALL.- REV. G.G. Mitchell, of Delphi, Ind., has accepted a call from the Presbyterian Church of Attica, and will enter the work immediately.---NOTICE.-The Entertainment for the benefit of the Sabbath School will be held to-morrow evening, in the audience room of the M.E. Church.---"JUDGE NOT LEST & c."-Mr. Joe. H. Brown, one of the candidates for Circuit Judge, held Court last Monday in the absence of Hon. John M. Cowan.---GOING OVER. "Phil" Gemmer the enterprising groceryman is now moving his stock of Groceries over to his new room, at No 3, Warren Block.---MARRIAGE LICENSES.-Since our last issue, the following licenses for marriage, have been issued by the Clerk: William J. Hamar and Mary Woodard.---LOST.-The Steamer "Defeat," which sailed from this port the 2d of April. No news has been heard of her, and it is supposed very generally, that all on board were lost. This is sad.---The class in Greek and Latin of Wilkins', at Lebanon, is enjoying a short recreation from study. They resume their labor again the 17th of May; any wishing to join the class will be welcome.
