HALL OF WARREN LODGE, I.O.O.F., No. 57, April 18, 1870. WHEREAS, Our worthy Brother, Charles McAlister, having been a devoted Odd Fellow for over 20 years, a member in good standing at Lodge No. 57, after a long and painful illness, was, at his house, on the 7th instant, near this place, called from amongst us; and, WHEREAS, Our deceased Brother was a faithful member of our Order, whose loss we deeply mourn; therefore, Resolved, That on behalf of Lodge No. 57, I.O.O.F., we deeply deplore the loss of Brother McAlister, and cheerfully accord to him the many obligations, that we as a Lodge are under to him, for his zeal and activity of the good cause of our Order, in forwarding its best interests; and, therefore, Resolved, That in their deep bereavement, we tender to his surviving widow and children, and to his many warm friends, our heartfelt sympathy in this their hour of sorrow. Resolved, That the foregoing preamble and resolutions be spread on the records of this Lodge, and a certified copy forwarded to the widow of the deceased; also, that they be published in the Warren Republican.
