Title: Camp Meeting Notice.
File Attachment:
Attachment Type:

The male members of the Church in the bounds of Williamsport circuit, with all others willing to assist us, are hereby notified that the Committee have appointed Saturday, the 28th inst., at 9 o'clock a.m., as the time for the meeting on the grounds selected for our contemplated camp-meeting. Come with axe, spade, or mattock, and aid us in "clearing away the rubbish" and prepare the place for our "feast of tabernacles." We earnestly desire a full attendance, as among other important things to be looked after at that time, it is desirable to ascertain how many tent-holders may be expected. The place selected is about 1 1/2 miles east, and from a half to 3/4 of a mile north of Crow's Grove, in Warren county. The meeting at the ground on Saturday the 28th will be called to order promptly at 9 o'clock, and opened by singing a hymn, followed by prayer for the divine blessing on our efforts, then a short address by Dr. Smith, the pastor, after which the work of preparing the grounds will immediately proceed. Again, we say let all be there to participate in the beginnings of what we ardently hope, and earnestly pray, may result in lasting good to all who once more may attend an old fashioned camp-meeting, which (by divine permission) will commence on Thursday, August 11, 1870. By order of the Committee of arrangements: B.F. Gregory, Colbrath Hall, John Swisher, William Lower, William Crow, John W. Brown, Ivenson H. Benson, Zebulon Foster.
