Rain is needed.---Weather is warm.---Corn planting is over.---River is low.---No new time table this week.---Commissioner's Court convenes next Monday.---Be sure to attend the Mass Convention the 11th of June.---Remember the Festival to-morrow night.---Go to the Festival to-morrow night and take the baby.---CONVENTION.-Carroll County holds a Democratic nominating convention Saturday, the 11th of June, 1870.---Don't forget the Strawberry and Ice Cream Festival to-morrow night, at the Church.---A DAILY.-Next Thursday we propose issuing a daily from this office. Good for that day only.---APPOINTMENT.-Rev. J.L. Smith, in view of his absence last Sabbath, appointed Rev. McClure to fill his pulpit for that day.---STATE FAIR.-The 18th Annual State Fair commences at the city of Indianapolis, the 3d of October next, and continues ot the 8th inclusive.---CONVENTION.-The Republican Congressional Convention of the 11th District, convenes the 29th of June, at Wanatah. It is to be a delegate convention.---GLEE CLUB.-The Democracy have organized a Glee Club at Covington, Fountain county. They propose business during the coming campaign.---WOOL, WOOL.-This important article of trade is beginning to come in in large quantities, and we doubt not our merchants will be able to secure as much as they desire for once. Bring it on.---ATTENTION.-In this week's issue a call is made for a Republican Mass Convention, to be held at this place the 11th of June, which is one week from next Saturday. Let all attend.---PERSONAL.-Hon. O.P. Morton has our thanks for favors shown us this week. Mr. "Billy" Martin of West Lebanon was in town yesterday, looking as young and spry as ever.---INDIANAPOLIS FAIR.-This Fair which commences the 5th of September next, is the first of ithe kind ever held in this State, and is designed to be made a success by the managers. $15,000 in premiums are to be awarded. it will continue to the 10th of the same month.
