Andy Gritman, who has been a sufferer from consumption for over a year, died at his home one mile north of this place Friday morning, Feb. 27th at 9 o'clock. The funeral services were conducted Sunday morning at 10 o'clock by Rev. Wm Wilmer. Interment took place at Hillside Cemetery under the direction of the G.A.R. of which Mr. Gritman was a member. Edward Wilson of Montomorenci, Tippecanoe County, is the sexton at the cemetery there. He went out to dig a grave and as he did not return, a party went in search of him. The old man was lying dead on the bank of the open grave. The death of Mrs. Scott Hedrick was announced Monday. We did not learn the particulars. W. P. McClure, who lived near the Stearns corner, was found dead in his bed Wednesday morning. About 4 o'clock he had what is termed a nightmare, and the folks awakened him as they thought, but in the morning he was dead. The funeral services will take place Friday morning at 10 o'clock. After an illness of about two months Jacob Brenner died Thursday night and was buried in West Lebanon Cemetery Saturday at 2 o'clock. The deceased was an old and well-respected citizen of Warren County. He leaves a wife and several grown sons and daughters to mourn his death, besides a large circle warm of friends who extend to the family the tenderest sympathies in this their hour of sad bereavement.
