A. C. Freeman, who for two years had charge of the Evans House, at West Lebanon, died at his home in Attica at 2:30 Tuesday morning. About six months ago he was taken down with la grippe, which with other ailments already contracted soon wrecked what was a short time before a strong healthy man. His last illness was consumption. Funeral services were held at the residence yesterday morning at 10:30 after which the remains were conveyed to Shawnee graveyard, where what remained of a true friend, a kind father, a devoted husband and Christian gentleman was laid away to await the final summons. He leaves a wife and four children, besides a large circle of warm friends, to mourn his death. Mrs. Josiah Watkins died at her home in Green Hill last friday. She had been in poor health for some time and was seventy-three years old. She was a noble woman and will long be missed by her family and friends.
