Obituary. At the death rap, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Anna Troxel in Liberty Township, the 20th ult., Mrs. Anna E. Hanly, mother of Hon. J. F. Hanly of this place, answered the summons. Mrs. Hanly, nee Calto, was born in Virginia Dec. 11th, 1827, moving to Ohio and thence to Warren County in girlhood, where in July 1848, she was united in marriage to Elijah Hanly, with whom she lived until February 1884, the time of her husband's death. to them were born eight children, four of whom, two sons and two daughters, survive their parents. These from Christian training have grown to useful men and women. The married life of Mr. and Mrs. Hanly excepting the period from 1859 to 1879 which was spent at Champaign, Ill., where they united with the Baptist Church, was lived in this county which they always regarded as home. Upon their return from Illinois they united with the M.E. Church of which they each were members until death. Mrs. Hanly had been deprived of sight for a number of years and this with other nervous afflictions made her a constant but patient sufferer. She went to her rest at the age of 63 years, 7 months and 9 days, as peacefully as to a gentle sleep. The remains were laid to rest in the Baumgardner Graveyard beside those of her husband on Tuesday following at 4 p.m., the Rev. T. E. Webb conduction the funeral services at the grave. The bereaved have the sympathies of all who know them and the consolation that "the end of the perfect man is peace."
