Died at the Orphans' Home, October 28th, 1891, Ida Edwards. The little one whose death is recorded was in the fourth year of her age; a child of very lovable ways and disposition, who had tenderly endeared herself to matron and family. The death was caused by croup after a short illness of three days. The funeral services held at the Home October 30th were conducted by Rev. C.B. Mock. The matron, a number of the older children and many others followed the little body to its last resting place. Carriages were kindly proffered for the occasion. Fannie Welch, of whom mention was made last week died at her home in the north part of town Monday night of rheumatism. The girl has been a constant sufferer for some time past and gradually grew worse until death released her Monday night. The funeral services took place yesterday. Samuel A. Brier, an old and respected citizen of Fountain County and known to many in this county, died at his home near Rob Roy last Thursday morning one week ago. Mrs. Phoebe DeMotte, wife of the rev. John B. DeMotte and mother of George of this county, died at her home in Greencastle last Thursday, one week ago. Mrs. Demotte will be remembered all over the bounds of the northwest Indiana Conference by her effective work for the Master in connection with her husband. Mrs. Mary O'Haver nee Anderson, of Lafayette was buried at the Martindale Cemetery, Sunday, Nov. 8th.
