At Rest. The funeral services of little Garland, infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Luke Salts, were held at the family residence, December 11th at 11 a.m., after which the body was laid to rest in the Lyons Graveyard. The services were conducted by Elder Poince of West Lebanon, assisted by Elder McBroom. Little Garland was with us but eight months, and in that time we learned to love him. We all miss him, but only the sorrowing mother can tell how much he is missed. Garland is gone, he cannot come back to us, but we can go to Garland. Father, mother, sister and friends can meet him in that land where there is no parting. The wife of James Johnson died suddenly of heart failure Nov. 27th. She was only sick about twenty minutes until life left her. She was fifty-two years of age and lived for the last thirty years in this neighborhood. The funeral services were conducted at the M. E. Church by the Rev. Smith, Nov. 28th, 1891. She leaves a husband, six children whom together with many friends mourn her loss.
