Mrs. Celis Jones, nee Brier, departed this life at her residence at Earl Parke, Ind., Saturday moring at 5 o'clock July 17th, 1892, aged 45 years, 6 months and 6 days. She was sick eleven weeks. she had the neuralgia and typhiod fever and was willing to die and died happy. She united in marriage to Mr. Samuel Jones in the year 1865. They have two children, a daughter and a son, married, and living near Carbondale in this county. Mrs. Jones was a daughter of the late George Brier. The Funeral services were held at the residence Sunday Morning at 8 o'clock, and were conducted by rev. Break of the Presbyterian Church, after which the remains were conveyed to the old home cemetery, one mile from Carbondale, where they laid away to rest. Mrs. Jones was a cousin of Mrs. M. Conklin of this place.
