Mrs. J. H. Crawford, a former resident of this county who left here about thirteen years ago, died at her home in Dodge City, Kansas, from heart trouble last Friday. Deceased was well known in this county, having many relatives and friends still living here. Died at her home in Yate's Center, Kansas, June 27, 1892, at 10 o'clock p.m., Elizabeth A. Story, aged about 59 years. Elizabeth A. Stevens was born in Warren County, Indiana, December 19, 1842, was married to Jonathon N. Story, who survives her in February 1872. The deceased united with the church when a young girl, and has always lived a consistent Christian life. Her religion was catholic in character, holding fellowship with all Christians. About 8 years ago Mr. and Mrs. Story adopted little May and bestowed upon her all the love due a child of her tender years. The funeral services were conducted at the residence Tuesday afternoon by Rev. H. G. White of the Christian Church, after which the remains were laid to rest in Graceland Cemetery. The bereaved husband and child have the heartfelt sympathy of the entire community in their hour of affliction and bereavement. -Star. Mrs. Story was a sister of the wife of Wm Davis, who at present lives near Boswell, and was well known and has many friends in this county. Mr. and Mrs. Davis were in attendance at the funeral and but recently returned.
