James W. Daivs died at his home in Liberty Township after an illness of but five days, from congrestion of the bowels at 9:20 p.m. Tuesday. The funeral services are held at the residence at 10 a.m. today, conducted by Rev. Wilmer, after which interment will be made in Hillside Cemetery, under the auspices of Carbondale, assisted by Williamsport K and P lodges. Mr. Davis was about thirty-three years of age and an exemplary young man. He leaves a host of friends as well as a family to mourn his death. Roy Cassell, after long months of suffering from rheumatism and heart trouble passed away. He was born near Covington April 11th, 1869, and died May 29th, 1893, aged 24 years, 1 month and 18 days. He was the youngest son of George and Hattie Cassell, both dead. He leaves to mourn his death one brother, John Cassell of this place and many friends. The remains were interred at Slauter Cemetery.
