Mrs.Elizabeth Adams died at the home of her son, Milton Adams in Warren Township, Monday at the age of about 76 years. Mrs. Adams was the wife of the late Rodger Adams and was one of the old settlers of the country. The funeral services occured Wednesday morning after which interment was made a Kickapoo Cemetery. Brother, Joshua Anderson departed this life Oct. 31, 1893. His age was 80 years, 2 months and 14 days. He has been a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows since the year 1848. He has been liberal and active in promoting benevolent enterprises. While our hearts are filled with sadness, we can gather consolation in the remembrance of his fidelity to all the interests of our beloved Order, ever ready to aid and comfort the afflicted, firm in his convictions of right, thus exemplifiying his life the principles of our fraternity. Mrs. Elisha Little died at her home in Adams Township November 18, 1893 at the age of 47 years and 22 days from dropsy of the heart induced by la grippe. Mrs. Little was a daugther of the famous pioneer Methodist preacher, Richard Hargrave, so long of this conference, and endured with the family many of the hardships and inconveniences of an early pioneer preacher's life. Mrs. Little grew up in the church and was especially a great worker in the Woman's Foreign Missionary Society. She was united in marriage August 6th, 1876 to Hon. Elisha Little, of this county, and their home has since been a most happy one. Two boys aged nine and fifteen were born to them and these, with the bereaved husband, two stepdaughters and a host of relatives and friends, mourn today the loss of a loving wife, a true mother and a trusted friend. The funeral services were held Sunday from the Union church, conducted by the Rev. McKinzie, after which interment was made in Mound Cemetery.
