At the home of his father, Edward O'Brien, two and one half miles southwest of Hedrick, Ind., Sunday evening at 10:30 o'clock, Andrew O'Brien, aged 22 years, 6 months, and 22 days, departed this life after a long illness of lung trouble. He was taken sick in November and continued to grow worse until his death, though at times apparently improved. He leaves a father, mother, one brother Edward and two sisters Mollie and Lueretta to mourn his death. His oldest brother John preceded him to the land beyond some five months ago. He was kind and loving son and brother and highly respected by all who knew him, and will be greatly missed abroad as well as at home. He gave up to die some weeks before his death, and after bidding the family goodbye, said, "He was ready at God's appointed hour." He lay until after 10 o'clock waiting for the wonderful change to come when he was born by God's summoning angel to the beautiful realms of light where sickness, pain and death never enters. The following young men were pallbearers: James Anderson, Arthur Hefferman, Henry O'Ferrell, Harry Cassel, Lewis Graham, Lloyd Alison, Robert Davison and William Young. The funeral services were held Tuesday at St. Francis Church in Attica, Ind,. conducted by Rev. Charles Lemper after which th body was laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery. Died at her home in Liberty Township, Susie, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy Haniford, March 6th, 1894, after a short illness. She had attacks of lung trouble through the winter. She was three years, 29 days old. She was the pet of the household. The funeral services were held at the Bethel Church in Fountain County Thursday, March 8th. To father, mother and the little brothers and sisters, the Savior says, "Suffer little children to come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven."
