Miss Mary Bear died very suddenly at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Bear in this place last Thursday morning. She was ill but a few days. The deceased was aged about 22 years. The funeral obsequies were held Friday and the remains laid to rest in the West Lebanon Cemetery. Mrs. Josephine Simmerman, wife of Nelson Simmerman, died at her home in Liberty Township Saturday, May 26th, 189, of consumption, aged 35 years. She was born in this county where she has always lived and leaves behind to mourn her death a husband and four children and a host of friends. The funeral services conducted by the Rev. Myers were held Sunday after which interment took place at the family burying ground. Benjamin Phipps of Boswell was run over by the Lake Erie at Hillsburg last Tuesday and instantly killed. He was setting a brake on a car when he lost his balance and fell between the cars and was run over. He was 23 years old and a son of J. W. and Amilda Phipps and was born, in this county. Interment was made Thursday in the Keister Cemetery, this county.
