John Hetrick, aged about 78 years, living near Hoopeston, took morphine last week and ended his life. Ura Dye, aged 23 years, was the subject of a tragic death in our town last night at 1 o'clock. Ura was engaged to be married ot a young man who died last Monday night and since his death, she has acted strangely. A sister came to her home yesterday evening on a visit and instead of Ura running to meet her as usual, she bounded up the stairs and shortly returned and was attacked with convulsions. Medical aid was summoned, but despite the efforts made to nurse her back to a vigorous life, her spirit took its flight at about 1 o'clock this morning. The attending physicians say the symptoms of poisoning were that produced by strychnine alone, but none could be found showing that to be the cause of the premature dath. But certain the physicians are that it was a case of poisoning taken with suicidal intent. Miss Dye was highly respected and well like by hosts of acquaintances who are now wrapped in grief. The remains will be interred sometime tomorrow. --Indianola Gazette
