William Ford who lived 5 miles south of Ambia, having grappled with sore affliction for some months, bade farewell to loved ones Tuesday eveing, Nov. 26, 1895. Deceased was born near West Lebanon, Warren County, Ind., Aug. 5, 1847 where he resided with his parents until united in marriage with Miss Mary Black of Fulton County, Ill., Jan. 26, 1874. He then moved five miles south of this city where he resided until his death. To them were born three sons, whom are still living. His first wife died Feb. 15, 1886. He was married to Sarah V. Paul of Independence, Ind., Jan. 24, 1888, who with their daughter, his parents, 6 brothers and two sisters survive him. The funeral services were conducted by the I.O.O.F. Lodge of Ambia, of which he was faithful member. With tears and sorrow we laid him away in Redwood Cemetery, near West Lebanon, Ind., last Thursday. Georgie E. Martin, son of Charles and Mary L. Martin, died December 8th, 1895, with a complication of diseases, which finally resulted in spinal meningitis. Little Georgie had been ailing for some time. Every thing that loving hands and medical skill could do was done for him, but his frail body was too weak to overcome the ravages of the disease and he was forced to succumb to the inevitable. Georgie was a bright, sweet child and loved by all who knew him. Young as he was, he had an ardent desire to the Sabbath school of which he was a memeber. His young life was but short in eight years and his Master called him home. He leaves parents and a host of friends to mourn his loss, but our loss is his eternal gain. As we cosign his little body to the tomb our hearts are weighed down with sorrow. But Jesus has said in His words: "Suffer little children to come unto Me and forbid them not, for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven."
