Mrs. Elmyra Davidson was born in Warren County, Indiana, May 31, 1835, and died in Hillsboro, Monday, Jan. 6, 1896, aged 60 years, 7 months and 6 days. The deceased joined the U.B. Church at age 16. She was married to Samuel Davidson Feb. 7, 1863. The funeral services were held at the house conducted by Miles Cooper, after which the remains were interred in the Beaver Cemetary. For several years Mrs. davidson had suffered from that dread destroyer, cancer, but she bore her sad affliction with a holy patience that was remarkable. Although the news that this good woman has passed from the living was not a surprise, it nevertheless cast a gloom over the entire community and all join in extending their sympathy to the family that has lost a loving wife and a Christian mother.-Veedersburg News W.H.Kirk, agent for the Singer Sewing Machine Co. at attica, went to Covington monday to do some collecting in that vicinity. It is stated that he took too much bug juice and was scarcely able to sit up when he left Covington in the evening. Later he was found dead, his head and face much bruised. He evidently fell over in the buggy, his head coming in contact with the wheel, wounds thus inflicted causing death. The remains were brought to attica for burial Wednesday. Andrew Sheridan of attica fell under a Wabash train near the water tank at the Attica Bridge sometime last Friday night and was litteraly ground to peices. His body was found about two o'clock Saturday morning and for some time was not recognized it was so badly mutilated. It is supposed he was attempting to board an eastbound train when the accident occured. He was about 28 years old and brother of James Sheridan of the above place. The remains were taken to the home of his sister from which place the funeral services were held monday.
