Mrs. Mollie Barker, wife of Augustus Barker, died at her home in pine Village, January 24th, 1896, from consumption. She was a daughter of Thomas Watkins of this place. Wabash, Ind., Jan. 27-Vera Freeman, a theatrical manager,was found dead in her apartments a the Hotel Pomeroy, New York, having committed suicide with morphine. Mr. and Mrs. Freeman were merried in March 1893 at San Francisco, at which time she was a member od Leavitt's "Adamless Eden" combination.- Indianapolis News Mrs. Freeman, formerly Miss Swadley, was a native of Warren Township, this country, until a few years ago and her freinds in that vicinity will be shocked to learn of her sad and tragic death.
