Mr. Joseph Chavers and son, Henry, were called last Thursday to Lebanon, Boone County, to take the last view of his little granddaughter, who was laid to rest in the tomb Friday. She was called to meet her loving Savior and His angels Wednesday night at 11 o'clock. She was a loving child at home and everywhere she went. She was 13 years and 29 days old, was a member of the New Light Church for some time and was willing to be called away, leaving a kind and loving mother and father and three affectionate sisters and many kind friends. Oh, it was hard to give the little soul up but her Savior had a better work for her. Oh, how sweet it is to see such little souls make their call and election sure with their Father. We all have to be called away sooner or later and we know not what moment, but the question is, are we ready? Oh, may we so live that our last hours may be the happiest on this earth. The Lord is calling His little children home into his flock. He guides their little souls and footprints. She was the daughter of John Cunningham, living near Lebanon, Boone County. She was laid away at the Robinson Cemetery, followed by a long list of relatives and friends. (*Find a grave shows Ethel Cunningham) Wm Fisher and lady, of Rodgers, Ark., were called to their old home by the death of Mrs. Fisher's mother, Mrs. Adelaid Odle. Mr. Wm Price, an old resident of this place was buried here the other day. Many friends mourn his death. (Rainsville) Jeremiah Hindotn was born in Harrison County, Ohio, July 15th, 1826, aged 69 years, 8 months and 26 days. He served 10 months in the late war as an Ohio volunteer and came to Indiana in the year of 1883, where he resided until death. Jeremiah Hinton was a peaceful man and was highly respected among all who knew him. He leaves a wife and nine children very much broken hearted. The funeral services were held in the schoolhouse at Independence, the Rev. A. F. Surface officiating, and the body was laid to rest in the Independence Cemetery.
