Thomas Milton Whinnery, an old citizen of this place and well known, died at his home Tuesday morning at the age of almost 69 years. He was born September 19, 1824, and was a good quiet citizen. His death was the result of blood poison. The funeral services under the direction of the Rev. Eli Myers were held from the family residence on Monroe Street at 10:30 o'clock Wednesday morning, after which interment took place in Hillside Cemetery. Miton Whinnery had many friends. Mr. and Mrs. Wm Cavanaugh and Jennie Dunlap got 14 years in the penitentiary and John Schroll and John Johnson 25 years for the murder of Gus Klage last February. Johnson and Schroll plead guilty.
