Ruth, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Fenton of Pine Village, died at her home Saturday evening, July 4th from consumption. The funeral services conducted by the Rev. Rodgers were held at the M. E. Church Sunday at 4:30 p.m., and the remains laid to rest in the Pine Village Cemetery. Ruth was a model young girl, just blooming into an excellent maidenhood when she was so summarily cut down by the ruthless hand of death. She was a constant attendant at Sunday school and the Juvenile Temple until she was unable to go and always took a prominent part in the services. She was far advanced beyond her years in music and mental attainments and was a very lovable and affectionate child. The funeral cortege is said to have been the largest ever held in Pine Village, showing that Ruth had a host of friends and was beloved by all who knew her. The bereaved parents have the heartfelt sympathy of all. Edward Glatz, who for some time was a clerk in the M. L. Wilson shoe store, Attica, died from consumption last Saturday. He was a model young man and leaves many friends.
