A two-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Horace Crow died at their home in Jourdan Township on Monday morning from whooping cough. The funeral occurred tuesday at 11 a.m. The remains were takento West Lebanon for baril. Though death has entered the family prior to this, yet the loss of this child falls heavily upon the parents, and the grandfather, Uncle William Crow, takes it to heart wouderfully. Arista Orahood of coal creek, Fountain County, committed suicide by shooting himself in the head with a revolver last Thursday. Arista, as the young man was known, was the second son of the Rev. Orahood, and the brother of Attorney Orahood, who recently had a law office in Covington, and was about 23 years old. He was an uncommonly bright young man but had been in poor health for the past year and a half and little hope was given him of his ever being any better. This is alleged to have made him despondent and probably led him to take his life.
