Mrs. Jennie McDermond Trebing died at her home in Hoopeston, Illinois, last Friday morning of rtheumatism of the heart. Deceased was a sister of J. Frank McDermond, the well-known Attica businessman. She was born in Attica 35 years ago, and in 1892 was married to Charles Trebing. They resided in Chacago until two years ago, when Mr. Trebing engaged in business in Hoopeston, since whitch time they have resided there. The funeral occurred in Attica Sunday afternoon, which was conducted at the home of her brother, J. Frank McDermond by Rev. John A. Maxwell, assisted by Rev. Wm Wilmer of Williamsport. Six brothers acted as pallbearers. But one of the three sisters was present; the other two residing in Teaxs, found it impossible to here in time. The remains were laid to rest in Riverside Cemetery in Attica. The Review extends sympathy to the bereaved husband and other immediate relatives of the deceased. E. C. Byers, who had been a resident of Warren County for forty years, died at his home in Steuben Township, Thursday night last July 29, at the age of 66 years. He owned a fine farm, which he had conducted with success. The funeraloccured last Saturday, the remains being laid to rest in the cemetery at West Lebanon. He leaves a widow and one child. Deceased was sick but a week. He was first taken with pneumonia after which other complications arose. Mr. Byers was highly respected and his death will be regretted by a very large circl of friends. Peter anderson, O. L., and Robert Winks and Thomas Powell of williamsport, were present at the funeral. Tuesday morning occurred the sad death of Miss Lydia Delaney at her home in this place. Deceased was 15 years, 11 mounths and 14 days old and has resided near here all her life. She was a good, Christian girl and a member of the U. B. Church. The funeral took place wednesday at 10 o'clock at Armstrong Chaple. Rev. W. E. Stanley conducted the services, interment being made in Armstrong Cemetery.
